.Diesel Test Technician

ATS is currently searching for a Diesel Test Technician to join our team in Mossville, IL.In this position, you will be responsible for operating an engine test cell to obtain steady state engine performance and emissions data. This could include both diesel and natural gas fueled engines, in rare instances could be a mechanically controlled engine. You will be responsible for setting the engine to the proper operating conditions and collecting data. You are also responsible for coordinating engine installations and hardware changes.

Successful candidates will possess the following qualifications:
Must have a degree from an Automotive Tech School or equivalent from a 2 to 4 year accredited College/University or minimum of a High School Diploma with adequate experience in the diesel mechanic field
Must be familiar with using a computer.
Must be able to get around the Microsoft Windows program, Office Systems and File systems very well without assistance.
Must be competent with the Microsoft Excel software, must be able to create charts, graphs, etc. without assistance.
Must have knowledge of the instrumentation tools used to measure temperatures (thermal-couples) and pressures (transducers, strain gages) used to record data onto a Windows Data Acquisition System
Must have ability to work well under stress, be a team player, willing to work overtime and an occasional weekend shift if needed
Must have ability to be flexible regarding shift availability
Must be familiar with Hazmat Issues
