Director of Facilities

Monday through Friday
Day Shift
Exempt level position.

Responsibilities :

Will plan, organize, direct and control the facilities plant operations and security of the hospital. Including design, construction, alteration, operation, maintenance, and disposal of plant facilities and equipment. Loss prevention management, safety, security and fire prevention. Establishes goals, objectives, standards of performance, develop and implement operating policies and procedures. Interprets policies, standards, regulations and codes to personnel. Oversees environmental services.

Qualifications :

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree in civil, mechanical or electrical engineering, or equivalent experience, licenses preferred, PE Registration desirable. Must have previous experience in hospital facilities management and engineering including supervisory experience. Comprehensive knowledge of federal, state and local standards and codes. Knowledge of requirements for regulatory and accreditation agencies, standard operation procedures for plant operations, budget development, personnel management, work standards for skilled personnel and material and equipment suppliers. Ability to effectively plan, organize and execute projects of all sizes. The ideal candidate must demonstrate excellent skills in all forms of communication and works well with others in the spirit of teamwork and cooperation. Demonstrates effective verbal and written skills, including the ability to write reports and performance evaluations. Must have intermediate to advanced computer knowledge with the following programs: MS Word, Excel, and Outlook. The candidate must provide effective and responsive leadership; support the organization internally and externally. Takes pride in the image of the organization and displays an optimistic attitude. Excels in time management and demonstrates exceptional organization skills, including prioritization. Has the ability to work with all levels of employees including upper management.
