ETCH FIELD SERVICE ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN

Air Products and Chemicals, Inc. (NYSE:APD), a Fortune 500 manufacturer of industrial gases and chemicals, is seeking several experienced Etch Field Service Engineering Technicians for its Gilbert, AZ facility.

Candidates will typically have 10 or more years repair, upgrade and engineering improvement experience with the Lam legacy product lines, including AutoEtch (490 and 590 models) Products and the Lam Rainbow models.

Provide outstanding customer service to a broad customer base in the United States and select international locations. Positive track record of customer service experience is a must. (References will be checked.) Provide technical sales support. Provide repairs, preventative maintenance and engineering upgrades. Perform assembly of electrical and mechanical components from schematics, drawings, and work instructions. Perform testing and troubleshooting of complex electrical and mechanical assembly. Proficient with schematics, drawings, and manuals. Ability to work shift schedules and travel over 50% of days worked. Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude. Ability to use hand tools and electronics troubleshooting equipment. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Must have manual dexterity required to manuipulate small components, be able to lift 55 lbs, and wear supplied steel toe shoes. Experienced with desktop computer applications. Prior experience in and ISO 9001:2000 manufacturing environment a plus. Associates degree in Electronics recommended. BSEET preferred.
