Electrical Mechanical Maintenance Tech

JOB DESCRIPTION: Primary responsibility -- maintain a Dematic Rapistan RS-200 shoe sorter, associated conveyors, photo-eyes, PLCs and barcode scanners. Repair and maintain packaging equipment to include rotary and shuttle clamshell packaging machine, bagging machine, and RF clamshell sealing machine.
Make all repairs as safely and quickly as possible so as to maximize machine utilization and equipment availability. Perform electrical installations as required.Assist operations and other key personnel to maintain and operate their equipment. Operate forklifts, battery cart, floor scrubber, scissor lifts, and JLG lifts as required. Perform basic maintenance and troubleshoot this equipment as required.Maintain forklift batteries and charging stations to include battery watering.Perform equipment preventative maintenance on assigned machines and equipment. Maintain records of all preventative maintenance and other work performed. Install and/or repair pallet racking and material storage media as required.Perform commercial building maintenance to include, plumbing and minor electrical repairs. Perform general housekeeping duties as required.Fulfill responsibilities under ISO 9001, understand and fully support ISO system.Fulfill responsibilities under OHSAS 18001, understand and fully support OHSAS 18001 system. Maintain a safe and clean working environment.Understand and follow company rules and regulations.Perform all other duties as assigned or required.

SKILL AND DUTIES REQUIRED: Knowledge of National Electrical Code.Knowledge of Dematic Rapistan shoe sorters.Knowledge of SICK (or other) omni-directional and line barcode scanners.Knowledge of Allen Bradley PLC programming. Ability to lift 70 lbs and work at heights of over 25 feet.Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
