Job Description

Major Responsibilities:

The goal of the Equipment Management Planning Team is to achieve higher equipment availability (capacity assurance) and lower maintenance costs on production equipment. Specific duties include:
- Plans equipment management activities using Ellipse (or similar computerized maintenance systems).
- Manages electronic work order process.
- Manages major component tracking process.
- Manages electronic and manual Department and equipment records.
- Manages Department electronic and hard copy information libraries.
- Orders material and interfaces with Global Sourcing for planned activities using the business system.
- Prepares forecasts of future planned maintenance activities on a weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
- Schedules equipment management activities utilizing Ellipse systems.
- Analyzes equipment management activities utilizing Ellipse systems.
- Assists in measuring equipment management activities and equipment performance.
- Administers the planning, scheduling measuring and analyzing of equipment management contractors.
- Coordinator/liaison with Operations, OEMs, dealers, suppliers and equipment management contractors.
- Coordinates training activities and initiatives.
- Conducts cost/benefit reviews to assist with outsourcing decisions (make vs. buy).
- Monitors and recommends inventory levels.
- Tracks warranty and interfaces with Global Sourcing/materials buyer on warranty issues.
- Interfaces with RCM group on diagnostic/predictive maintenance activities.
- Assist/supports Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA).
- Reviews effectiveness of PM programs.
- Reviews work order backlog.
- Other planning, scheduling, measuring and analyzing activities as required.

Minimum Requirements:

- Ability to proficiently apply all aspects of Ellipse or similar computerized equipment management system.
- Education and/or experience equivalent to a High School Diploma or GED, supplemented by advanced training.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Professional (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Project).
- Experience in scheduling and planning maintenance activities.
- Excellent safety and attendance record.
- Five (5) years experience in mining industry or manufacturing environment (within maintenance and/or operations.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Extensive knowledge and experience in general maintenance and repair.
- Craftsman Experience or Degree in related field.
- Experience in component and warranty tracking.
- Knowledge of all Mine and Processing areas.

Criteria/Conditions (specific background and skills):

- Successful candidate must have excellent knowledge in ordering parts and materials.
