Environmental Equipment Maintenance
Job Purpose:
Maintains environmental analytical equipment and fabricating production equipment.
Duties:
* Identifies product and equipment requirements by conferring with knowledgeable individuals (including engineering management, technical operations personnel, research and development personnel, contractors, vendors, and consultants); studying sketches, blueprints, and related engineering material.
* Develops custom equipment specifications by designing pneumatic, electrical, hydraulic, and associated systems; specifying materials.
* Completes equipment design by obtaining approval of specifications.
* Fabricates equipment parts by setting up and operating shop equipment; verifying dimensions.
* Installs equipment by fabricating and assembling parts; programming electronic components.
* Verifies equipment performance by conducting test runs.
* Maintains historical reference by documenting design and installation actions.
* Installs purchased equipment by modifying pneumatic, electrical, hydraulic, and associated systems.
* Maintains production by diagnosing and correcting equipment failures.
* Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
