Principal Duties and Essential Job Functions:
The individual will work with team members of the Organic Repair Unit Electronics Repair Shop. This person will be required to provide maintenance refurbishment support to Eastern Range Instrumentations Systems work centers. The maintenance refurbishment primarily includes the inspection and repair/replacement of defective wire-wrap and solder joint connections on Eastern Range wire-wrap chassis and circuit card assemblies. Additionally, this person will perform repair activities as required under direction of Organic Repair Unit manager, electronics technicians, and Equipment Installer Operator. Work performed will be routine in nature and basic in content. The individual will be required to be organized and maintain detailed records of work performed. The individual will travel to mainland and foreign destinations to perform the majority of required duties. Perform other duties as assigned by the ORU manager within the scope of the occupational classification.

Basic Qualifications:
Good oral and written communication skills required. Ability to operate hand tools such as electric screw drivers, ratchet sets, and other basic hand tools. Ability to use professional grade soldering irons, electric wire-wrap tools, manual wire-wrap tools, and common test equipment such as digital multimeters, semiconductor testers, and oscilloscopes. Visual acuity necessary to perform precise repairs on populated chassis and circuit card assemblies. Ability to perform repairs using the aid of magnifiers and microscopes. Knowledge of the effect of electro-static discharge on sensitive electronic devices and assemblies and its prevention. Knowledge of the use of personal computers. Knowledge of the use of the MS XP Office Suite, Professional Edition is beneficial. Must have the ability to lift heavy equipment, occasionally exceeding 50 pounds. Must be able to perform duties that are repetitive in nature. The individual must be able to professionally communicate and interact with coworkers maintaining a positive team effort. Additionally, must be able to represent the company in a professional manner when working with other contractors and our customer. Must be able to receive and follow accurate technical direction from the ORU manager, electronic technicians, and EIO. Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent. Training or experience in mil-spec wire-wrap and soldering preferred. Frequent local and foreign travel will be required. Must be able to obtain and maintain a passport for the United States of America.This individual must be able to maintain a National Agency Check (NAC) security clearance which requires U.S. Citizenship. Valid U.S. driver's license required.
