We are currently seeking applications for the following position:
Position: FIELD REPRESENTATIVE
Locations: Home base will be in Central Illinois, in or around Peoria, Bloomington, Springfield, Champaign, Decatur; travel will include surrounding states such as Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, and Wisconsin.
Major Responsibilities:
? Key focus will be installation of in-road sensors and roadside electronics which monitor the weight and class of vehicles traveling by these systems. This includes, but is not limited to, hands on supervision of construction activities, routing cabling from the sensors to the roadside electronics, testing and calibration and set-up of parameters through software menus.
? Other duties involve maintenance and service of this type of equipment as well as training customers and contractors within the region with limited travel outside of the region, on the use of the product.
? On-site project management including work scheduling
? Accurate record keeping of service work
? Maintaining client relations
Skills and Education required:
? Good customer relations, organization, time management, and project management skills
? Strong supervisory skills
? Ability to troubleshoot and analyze software and hardware problems
? Works well independently and with a team
? Possesses formal training or education in electronics technology.
? Good working knowledge of small tools is an asset.
Our corporate head office is in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada and we have subsidiary offices in Illinois, Chile and India. We currently have approximately 220 employees; 110 in Canada, 60 in the continental U.S. and 50 in our offshore offices.
The continued expansion of our US based installation, service and maintenance capability is driven by our need to provide timely customer service while reducing travel time between service calls. However, our Field Representatives are expected to be away from their home base for most of the week, usually returning for the weekend.
