Facilities Engineer

Velcro USA Inc., the industry leader in hook and loop fastening systems, is looking for a Facilities Engineer to perform engineering and project management services in support of facility operations.  Duties include performing engineering studies and evaluations in support of facility maintenance and new projects; assisting with developing and maintaining a facility document management system; developing, executing, and managing projects with consideration for budget, schedule, and resources; identifying, developing, and implementing energy conservation and cost reduction measures; and assisting with managing external contractors and vendors needed to support the physical plant.

 

Requirements include a BS in an engineering discipline with emphasis on thermodynamics and fluid mechanics; a minimum of five years of facilities engineering experience in an industrial  environment; project management  experience; knowledge and experience with HVAC systems and equipment including pumps, fans, air, and hydronic systems; knowledge and experience with energy management/conservation activities; good electrical and mechanical aptitude; excellent communication and organizational skills; and computer skills including MS Word, MS Excel,  MS Project, and AutoCAD.
