This is a senior management position responsible for directing, supervising and coordinating maintenance activities. This position will coordinate the daily activities which include technical guidance to direct reports and their employees. This position will assure the safety and efficient operations of all equipment utilized for building activities. The Facilities Manager will be responsible for determining the needs for material and equipment, making necessary contacts to various vendors in order to inquire about price and delivery. The Facilities Manager will be required to make daily inspections at Zappos.com. This position will require a vast knowledge of building structures, conveyor systems, and other utility systems. The Facilities Manager will be responsible in taking charge for all immediate emergencies requiring skilled maintenance repair. This position will report the Director of Operations.

Educational Requirements
?BS in an Engineering Discipline, Management program, or equivalent experience.
?Education and experience in a formalized process improvement methodology. Certification is a plus.
?Minimum of 5 years supervisory/management experience in a warehouse/manufacturing environment, or career path as noted above.
?Ability to Program PLC and teach others PLC Programming. Ideal candidate will have a background utilizing Allen Bradley brands.

Qualifications
?Considerable knowledge of air conditioning systems, electrical systems, conveyor systems, building and grounds maintenance and equipment repair.
?Knowledge and understanding of various Federal, State and County codes and regulations involving construction, installation, fire and safety.
?Ability to meet with service contractors and vendors regarding the negotiation of contracts, agreements and guarantees.
?Ability to set priorities and make decisions on repairs.
?Ability to train and supervise direct reports.
?Ability to analyze facts and exercise sound judgment.
?Ability to develop long-term plans and programs to evaluate accomplishments.
?Ability to WOW both internal and external customers.
?Ability to conduct in-house training programs in the effort of promoting safe work habits involving all electrical installations, power tools, heavy equipment.
?Employee will be required to use a computer. Good knowledge of PC software (Word, Excel and other computer programs as needed) are required.

Physical Requirements
?Employee must be able to lift and/ or carry objects weighing up to 75lbs
?Ability to be subjected to various environmental conditions.
?Ability to work various shifts and days.
