We currently have an opening for a Field Service Mechanic at our branch location in Boston, MASS.

In this position you will maintain and repair the most complex heavy rental equipment and vehicles at assigned Prime Energy and customer locations. In addition, you will ensure that equipment and vehicles operate effectively, efficiently and safely. Further details are noted in the position summary below.



POSITION SUMMARY



Responsible for the maintenance and repair of a variety of complex rental equipment including temperature control units, oil-free air compressors, and power generators. Service is primarily performed at customer locations. Determines parts needs and order parts. Maintains a safe work area, obeys safety rules and ensures safety decals are properly displayed. Correctly utilizes Wynne or Work Order computer system. Assists in maintaining an accurate schedule and record of maintenance. Keeps current on all applicable rental equipment features and applications. May assist in familiarizing and training customer on equipment and vehicles. Demonstrates orientation toward excellent customer service by conducting daily activities, communications and interactions in a cooperative, positive and professional manner.



QUALIFICATIONS



Minimum three (3) to five (5) years experience in mechanical, hydraulic, diesel engines, air compressors,pneumatic and electrical repairs involving complex equipment, tools and vehicles. Ability to communicate effectively with customers and travel as required.



High school degree or equivalent and a valid state driver?s license. Previous training through manufacturer training courses a plus.



A mastery of mechanical repair and maintenance of equipment and vehicles. The ability to diagnose complex mechanical problems and successfully repair/operate machinery and heavy equipment.



Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, bend, stoop, squat, reach, crouch and kneel. Ability to stand for long periods of time, work in various weather conditions, wear steel-toed shoes and other required protective equipment, and enter and exit vehicles appointed to drive.
