Field Service Technicians

Aviza Technology is growing and we are looking to hire  Field Service Technicians. These positions will be responsible for interfacing with customers, company sales and/or service representatives to handle a variety of pre-sales or post-sales service functions. Determines the status of equipment returns, repairs, replacements, etc. May handle field service repair calls. Handles requests for additional company materials. Maintains records of returns, schedule changes, product enhancements or changes, product pricing and resolves return credit problems. Coverage for Domestic/International needs, and back-fill, co-region support as needed. This position will include the install, repair and a great deal of customer interface with multiple Aviza products including VTR, AVP, RVP and ALD systems. Must have PVD/Etch experience.  Other systems training will be added on an as needed basis. Unusual and varying working conditions and flexibility required for this position.  These jobs require 75% travel.

Knowledge & Skills Required:

?  Represents the company in a positive, professional manner in all dealings with Aviza Technology customers, both external and internal.

?  Receives customer service requests through either long term assignment or pages from Customer Support Administration. Promptly acknowledges receipt of page, and contacts the customer to schedule services required. Ensures that the schedule meets the customer?s needs. Seeks assistance from peers when unable to meet the customer?s expectations. Communicate schedule of services to Customer Support Administration.

?  Develops plan to sell service contracts, parts, accessories, consumables, software, upgrades and training to customer base, while working towards a sales target defined by management. Manages workload and customer requirements in the territory designated by management.

?  Acts as an Aviza advocate in all capacities at customer fab locations. Effectively communicates competitive information and additional sales opportunities to Field Sales Engineers. Provides feedback to factory personnel for product improvements.

?  Reports daily activities to manager for accurate record keeping, including closing service calls daily upon completion,

?  Maintains personal Field Service inventory of replacement parts. Returns defective material in a timely manner, and orders replacements as needed.

Education and/or Experience:

?  2-year EE degree or equivalent experience

?  2-3 years Field Service experience
