GENERAL MANAGER / HVAC HEATING, COOLING & AIR CONDITIONING

Wanted: GENERAL MANAGER Successful HVAC designer and installer is seeking a progressive leader to organize and manage operations towards continued profitability and growth. This includes oversight of marketing, sales, operations, human resources, billings, collections, payables, payroll and financial controls, as well as the policies of the Ownership. The specific responsibilities of the General Manager are: Coordinate all department activities to ensure profitability goals are met on a consistent basis. Ensure that subordinates have the authority to successfully execute the required tasks, procedures and assigned responsibilities. Through delegation, ensure that Company policies in each department are established and enforced to ensure economic and efficient use of resources and asset safeguards. Represent the Company to the business and financial community. Ensure the proper training of all co-workers. Structure the Company so that administration, sales, installation and service departments communicate and coordinate business and field functions to maximize cooperation and teamwork. Develop and maintain a clear organizational plan for business growth. Revise this plan periodically based on the direction of growth and financial capabilities of the company. Oversee the creation and monthly measurement of an administrative budget and annual capital budget for the Company. Establish the long and short-term sales goals of the company with Sales Management. Formulate or determine that an overall marketing strategy exists, designed to attain the company?s gross margin goals. Plan, budget, purchase and have available all the equipment and facilities needed for the profitable operation of the company. Assure that adequate warehousing facilities are available for material and equipment and that manpower staffing is sufficient to meet planned activities. Implement employee incentives that align Employee objectives with Company goals and objectives. Ensure operations are scheduled in a timely manner. Evaluate total hours scheduled versus production hours available, weekly, for labor projections. Ascertain all financial information is available to management on a timely basis. Review and analyze monthly financial information and take corrective action, where necessary. Commit to an ongoing effort of self and formal education related to the field with special emphasis on leadership, management, accounting, finance and financial matters.
