GENERATOR FIELD SERVICE TECHNICIAN

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

?  Perform planned and corrective maintenance of gasoline, gaseous and diesel fueled generator sets in shop and at customer sites.

?  Follow proper procedures for performing load bank testing on generator sets

?  Troubleshoot and diagnose emergency repair procedures of AC/DC controls

?  Troubleshoot and diagnose diesel and gas/gaseous industrial engines

?  Read and understand wiring diagrams and schematics

?  Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers

?  Work independently with a minimum of daily supervision

?  Ability to lift 50 lbs

 

DESIRABLE EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

 

?  Minimum 3 years experience in the power generation industry or graduate of a diesel technology college or military training program

?  Knowledge of mechanical repairs of various industrial engines

?  Knowledge of automatic transfer switches and control logic

?  Must have hand tools to complete all repairs

?  Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills

?  High school diploma or equivalent

?  Valid driver?s license with an insurable driving record

?  Able to work overtime as needed, with some overnight travel
