Heavy Equipment Mechanic

Keys:

A high school graduate, GED, or better is preferred. Required 2 to 5 years of mechanical experience on heavy mobile

equipment.

 

Must have good mechanical skill. Understanding the processes and the procedures involved in the production of the various

products is desirable. Experience with operating crane, forklift, backhoe, and trucks in a plant. Must have strong work

ethic such as, dependable, reliable, conscientiousness, focus on details, and be able to receive and understand instructions

and function as a team player.

 

Duties:

A mechanic needs to attend to production needs as the business dictates. Must be able to perform scheduled and

unscheduled maintenance on CAT 980C Front End Loader, CAT 980G Front End Loader, and 2 ea. CAT 769 Haul Trucks, PC600 Komatsu Excavator, CAT 140G Motor Grader, and other trucks. Must be able to work unsupervised while successfully completing the assigned task. Expected to understand safety and environmental issues as related to the plant and equipment operations.
