IT Specialist--Worldwide Travel

IT Installation Support Specialist - Responsible for installing and troubleshooting network and IT related equipment. Candidate will be a member of the General Dynamics NDIS Engineering Services Team (NEST) supporting a variety of IT projects worldwide. Candiate will be capable of managing junior level personnel and assisting Project Managers to ensure work completion, QA work to industry standards, and assist in design reviews.

Successful candidate will have at least an Associates Degree in technical discipline or equivalent experience. Additional advanced and specialized training or industry recognized certifications in IT related field is highly desireable. Successful candidate will also have comprehensive technical knowledge with strong communication skills (written & oral) and customer interface. Industry Standard Certification REQUIRED.

Minimum 4-6 years related experience in the IT experience required. Ideal candidate will also have a technical background in computer hardware, communications equipment, Networks, LAN/WAN, VTC and video distribution equipment. PLEASE NOTE: A Top Serect SCI security clearance is REQUIRED.

This position is designated as a deployable position with anticipated travel to potentially hostile locations in support of US Government customers depending on project. While most project requirements are expected to be state-side CONUS, the possibility remains for required deployment to support surveys and implementation of projects. While not certain, candidates should assume a potential for up to 50-75% of time traveling for this position.
