Industrial Battery Service Technician (Field)

Nolan Battery Company sells and services industrial power products, specializing in both forklift batteries and chargers, as well as standby power solutions (uninterruptible power systems, etc). In business for over 25 years, we are the exclusive manufacturer's representative for a major motive power maker and a prominent standby power company.  In addition to our home office in Harahan, LA, we have satellite offices in Shreveport, LA, and Jackson, MS, with an office in Mobile, AL, coming in the very near future.  As a company that is growing quickly, we offer excellent opportunities for new hires to advance their careers.

 

Our Harahan office is looking for field service technicians to service our customers' needs from Lafayette, LA to the Florida panhandle. Field technicians are responsible for the following:Diagnosing and repairing battery and charger problems Completing preventive maintenance inspections Hauling batteries into the shop for service and returning batteries to customers Installing new batteries and chargers Maintaining all paperwork associated with service requests Communicating with our battery manufacturers' regarding warranty and national account issues

 

Prospective applicants must possess the following characteristics:Strong communication skills (both written and verbal) Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills Basic electrical knowledge (previous experience with industrial batteries helpful) Desire and ability to take instructions and learn requisite skills necessary to perform job duties Clean driving record and drug test
