About the Opportunity
Help us to maintain the high level of cleanliness of our facility. It's important to our residents, staff and visitors. They may not always remember to tell you, but you can be sure they will appreciate your efforts.

Responsibilities:

Clean and sanitize residents' rooms, hallways, dining areas, bathrooms and other areas of the facility as assigned

Move furniture, strip and buff floors

Mix and use cleaning solutions safely; store them in a secure area

Label and remove infectious waste bags and containers; empty and sanitize trash containers in accordance with sanitation and infection control procedures

Perform other tasks as assigned

Qualifications


The Janitor must be able to read/write/speak in English and be patient and polite. A knowledge of infection control techniques is necessary. Ability to communicate effectively with residents, their families and the facility staff is important. Prefer a High School diploma or equivalent.
