Maintenance Manager

This is an opportunity to be hands-on, as well as lead a team, in the electrical and mechanical servicing and maintenance of all manufacturing equipment for a fast-paced, 3 shift machine shop.

 

Essential FunctionsManages daily activities of maintenance team.Maintains inventory levels and orders all maintenance materials to keep a machine shop running at capacity.Develops and maintains proactive, preventive maintenance schedules.Initiates and works through all employee issues to include hiring, promotions, transfers, discharges, disciplinary actions, and daily administrative activities.Other key responsibilities include:1)  Ensuring manufacturing equipment to be operating during expected production time to fulfill customer requirements on time;  2)  Maintaining and building the effectiveness of a responsible maintenance staff;  3)  Develops and implements preventive maintenance program and effective scheduling in order to meet and exceed customer demands;  4)  Ensuring compliance with OSHA to include Lock Out Tag Out operations;  5)  Work with internal staff and external vendors/contractors to maintain facility.

QualificationsBachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or related discipline or equivalent experience;5+ years experience as Maintenance Manager in a manufacturing environment possessing strong supervisory skills and the flexibility to work with all levels of an organization;Must possess a sense of urgency in the utilization of diagnostic skills in handling repair of manufacturing equipment breakdowns;Experience and thorough knowledge of vertical and horizontal CNC equipment, PLC's, electronics, hydraulic manufacturing systems, pneumatic and mechanical equipment;Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance systems;Must have exceptional communication skills, ability to multi task, and also posses strong problem analysis and resolution skills.
