Position Title:  Maintenance Technician

Department: Eagle?s Nest on Marco Island,FL

Report To:  Sr. Maintenance Tech

  Resort Manager

FLSA Designation:    Non-Exempt

 

POSITION PURPOSE

 

To exceed guest expectations by being enthusiastic and helpful and creating a welcome home atmosphere for our owners, guests, and their families. Make a positive impact by providing spectacular service.

 

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES

 

? Ensures that every interaction with an owner or guest is positive and memorable.

 

? Performs routine and simple maintenance tasks or assignments involving the maintenance for all facilities, units and amenities of the property according to HGVC standards.

 

? Replaces light bulbs, globes and fuses, faucet washers, etc.  Checks and cleans electrical contacts.

 

? Assists higher level maintenance employees with painting, oiling machines and equipment per schedule, simple building repairs, mowing lawn and performing similar operations as directed.

 

? Hangs pictures, installs towel racks, bulletin boards, office items, etc.

 

? Assists in moving equipment, file cabinets, tables, chairs, etc.

 

? Assists owners/guests in obtaining cribs, high chairs, cots, tables and chairs, or any other special requests.

 

? Maintains effective communication and interaction with Supervisor, Management and all departments of the property, ensuring everyone is aware of any unresolved problems or issues, and any upcoming potential problem areas..

 

? Coordinates efforts with housekeeping, when required, to ensure that owners/guests needs have been met.

 

? Carries out a reasonable request by management of which the associate is capable of performing.

 

 

QUALIFICATION STANDARDS

 

? Friendly and enthusiastic

 

? High school diploma.

 

? Some working knowledge of maintenance practices and procedures for the repair and installation of routine and simple assignments.

 

? Good communication skills.
