Maintenance Technician- 2nd shift

Clearwater, Florida - $17-$19 hr DOE

 

2nd Shift-Maintenance Technician for global facility!  Great pay & benefits!

 

Under general supervision, the Technical Services Tech III is responsible for: maintenance, repair and documentation of all facility and Production support equipment.  Builds and/or performs complex duties requiring non-standard procedure and/or complex instructions.  Works directly with all departments.  Design and build from blue prints all new and retrofit equipment for Production support, act as project coordinator for assigned projects. 

 

Specific Job Duties: (in order of importance)

 

1.  50% of time

Trouble shoots and/or repairs all Facility & Production support equipment with minimal down time.  Perform maintenance on all facility and production support

equipment.  Set up any new Production support equipment, complete with written procedures & documentation according to production guidelines within pre-determined time frame.  Contact vendor with equipment

issues. 

 

2. 10% of time

Assist Tech IV in the editing and/or modify lathe, mill & loop block CNC programs

ensuring a quality cut that is Production friendly.  Knowledge of PLC programming.  Measured based on generation of CNC programs, verification and implementation of those programs within the set time line with the utmost attention to producing a quality cut that is production friendly.

 

3. 20% of time

Coordinate Projects- suggest reductions in cost, time and material purchases, also recommend team members to complete.  Document all project developments, in accordance with GMP's, FDA, NSAI, ISO & division guidelines, and in a timely manner.  Work with Production, QA and Engineering on projects assigned.  Employees will be measured based on ability to complete projects according to timelines, and maintain cost and material purchased at acceptable levels,

ability to use all team members to their full potential, documentation of all occurances throughout the project. 

 

4. 10% of time

Support Production, QA and Engineering on any quality, productivity or cost-saving

ideas.  Design tooling and/or fixturing to improve Production process.  Performance measured on ability to complete concepts from other departments,

focusing on quality, productivity & cost savings.  Process improvements are made to reduce cost and cycle time while increasing quality & productivity.

 

5. 5% of time

Modifies duties associated with the job to meet special requirements. Available for on-call emergencies.  Ensure safety policies are adhered to.  Assist in Machine Shop as needed.

 

6. 5% of time

Cross train Production personnel, other Level III and lower technicians in a timely and professional manner.  Create or update preventative maintenance procedures.  Generate written reports assigned.  Employee will be measured

based o completion of written reports on time, with follow up as needed. 

 

Education:  High school diploma or equivalent.  Advanced training in math, trigonometry, electrical, electronics & computer programming desired.

 

Experience: Two-year degree and 2-4 years of job-related experience or

acceptable equivalency. Experienced in machine set-up to close tolerances.  Ability to train and communicate effectively.  Minimum of 2 years experience in setup.  Trouble-shooting and retrofitting manufacturing equipment. 

 

Special Skills:  Necessary knowledge and skills normally acquired through completion of a 2 year degree and 5-7 years job related experience or acceptable equivalency.  Organizational skills a must.  Must be able to interpret procedures,

designs and concepts.  Coordination of projects, preparation of procedures, development of machine history files.  Machine set up ability: troubleshoot, repair and replace Production support equipment.  Assist with design & re-tooling of new or existing fixtures.  Communication skills: must be able to inform team members of events that transpired throughout a project.  Help with cross training quicker and more efficiently.

 

(Specialized Training: Training from approved vendors (ie. Sterling-Optoform, Intelitec-Benchman, Allen Bradley-PLC, Aerotech-ABL) preferred.
