Maintenance Technician - Electrical/Instrumentation

Job Description

Major Responsibilities:

Safely and effectively perform routine and non-routine equipment management activities on large ore processing equipment. This equipment includes but is not limited to primary crush/convey system, autogenous grinding mills, ball mills, secondary crushing, horizontal and vertical pumps, hydraulic systems, conveying systems, rotary kiln dryers, drum filters, copper & molybdenum flotation circuits and pressure leach systems. Perform work assignments productively without incident or injury.

Minimum Requirements:

- Excellent safety awareness.
- Ability to safely and effectively navigate multiple flights of stairs and uneven terrain during a routine shift.
- Experience in troubleshooting motor control circuits.
- Knowledge of power switching, DCS control and 4160 switchgear principles.
- Willing to work with and be a part of a Team atmosphere.
- Ability and willingness to effectively communicate with all members of the department about safety issues, process improvements and daily activities.
- Willing and able to work weekends, holidays, rotating shifts and both scheduled and unscheduled overtime at a 24 hour/day, 7 day/week, 365 day/year operation.
- Demonstrated productivity and effectiveness in teamwork environment.
- Demonstrated competency in adapting to change.
- Demonstrated commitment to zero incidents and injuries in the workplace and beyond.
- Able to perform the essential functions of the job at the time of the job offer with or without reasonable accommodations.

Preferred Qualifications:

- MIMS 4.3 skills
- Instrumentation skills
- HVAC experience
- Demonstrated commitment to and understanding of PDBIs 60-cent plan and KPIs.
