Responsibilities:

SUMMARY:
This position receives direction from the Supply Chain Coordinator and Installation Manager; and may work with other Material Handlers in a large warehouse for a designated Sales & Service Office (SSO) for the timely and cost effect ordering of supplies, receipt and stocking of inventory, and shipping of SSO inventory. Ensures the security and accountability of inventory through transaction documentation using computerized systems (e.g., Oracle and Perpetual Inventory); process and procedure established by company and/or Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) guidelines; periodic physical inventories; and system review.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Orders online and processes purchase orders for jobs to maintain the inventory levels in the SSO warehouse. Places orders for hardware, cable and miscellaneous items as required for service, commercial and residential installation departments based on the Perpetual Inventory Guidelines.
2. Pulls stock for Residential, Small Business and Core Commercial jobs. Issues hardware as required for each job. Replenishes truck stock for each fleet vehicle. Issues requisitioned materials and tools to service technicians and installers according to job order. Obtains signature(s) of receipt.
3. Receives inventory at the SSO warehouse within Perpetual Inventory and Sarbanes-Oxley guidelines. Moves material from shipping/distributors trucks into the warehouse. Opens shipments; verifies parts ordered and quantity. Unpacks, removes, and reconciles receivers for each department. Tracks and forwards to Accounts Payable, receiver for materials purchased. Identifies shelf locators to be entered into the Perpetual Inventory system and places material on its proper shelf locator. Delivers incoming material not assigned to the warehouse to its proper destination. Ensures that the inventory is properly documented into the appropriate sub-inventory.
4. On a daily basis, using the Perpetual Inventory functionality, transacts equipment to and from various sub-inventories assuring that the physical inventory and the "booked" inventory in the system match.
5. Stocks all warehouse shelves to established static stock and hardware. Ensures the proper inventory level for the location. Searches for the proper equipment in the Perpetual Inventory system to ensure availability and knowledge of the product. Answers technical questions as it relates to the job, job number and equipment needed.
6. Examines equipment returned from cancelled accounts. Determines if the equipment should be repaired, replaced under warranty, returned to manufacturers for credit, or disposed of withi Perpetual Inventory and Sarbanes-Oxley guidelines.
7. Prepares for and conducts periodic physical inventories at the SSO warehouse and fleet vehicles. Investigates and resolves any discrepancies in the "booked" inventory to the physical inventory.
8. Operates and audits the local SSO warehouse daily in accordance with Perpetual Inventory, Safety, and Sarbanes-Oxley guidelines. Ensures that the local SSO warehouse is a safe, organized, and secure facility. Takes immediate corrective action as necessary to regain compliance when defaults are found.
9. Maintains control logs for material procurement and material handling per federal/state/local regulations. Accountable for securing the inventory with no shrinkage based on the Perpetual Inventory Guidelines. Maintain copies of all invoice transactions. Accountable for outgoing shipments, e.g., job locations, returns, repairs and miscellaneous; indicating the department in the shipping log and generating packing slips.
10. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

SKILLS:
- Basic computer skills, (e.g., Microsoft Office, especially in excel).
- Knowledge of perpetual inventory management system.
- Attention to detail.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to operate warehouse related equipment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to climb a ladder.
- Valid driver's license.

EXPERIENCE:
- 3 years of material handling and inventory control experience.
- Experience working with a computerized, perpetual inventory management system.

EDUCATION:
High School Diploma
