Mechanic Technician A

Job duties include but not limited to operation of a forklift truck to position, maneuver and/or transport equipment. Cut and weld metal materials like stainless steel, cast iron, steel and aluminum. Inspect and trouble shoot electrical equipment and conduct necessary electrical repairs. Inspect, disassemble, trouble shoot, repair and reassemble machinery and equipment such as gear boxes, pumps and rolling stock. Red and interpret manuals, perform basic computer functions, complete time allocations sheets indicating man hours worked, and take a leadership role in projects with other employees. Position requires an educational background in electronics/instrumentation. This background may come from job experience or vocational training school.
