Mechanical Supervisor

COoperation AdVANTAges.   These come together to form our name Covanta Energy, a global leader in the development, operation and maintenance of waste-to-energy power facilities and independent power projects The Mechanical Supervisor reports to the Maintenance Supervisor and will directly supervise the day to day activities of mechanical maintenance technicians.  Specifically, this position is responsible for supervising employees in carrying out preventive and predictive maintenance programs, performing facility repairs to boilers, turbine-generator, material handling systems and auxiliary equipment.  This position is also responsible for training, developing and monitoring the performance of mechanical maintenance technicians as required. The Mechanical Supervisor is also responsible for supervising contractors when required. To be considered for this position you must have 5 years demonstrated background in power and/or industrial plant maintenance as a mechanical technician and/or supervisor with welding process knowledge.  Good organizational, communication, and leadership skills are required.  Computer skills, formal technical training, and/or a college degree are a plus.
