Mechanics - 2nd and 3rd shift

PRINCIPAL DUTIES



? Efficiently complete packaging line changeovers and troubleshoot equipment in a timely manner.

? Keep lines operating properly during course of production runs.

? Assist in the design of new set-up parts.

? Perform production line sanitations and lead changeovers in a timely manner.

? Lead preventative maintenance teams.

? Perform duties in a safe manner and report any safety hazards.

? Actively participate in resolving issues and offer suggestions for improvement.

? Read and understand production schedule, make decisions based upon information.

? Train other associates as needed.

? Assume a leadership role by giving direction to other associates.





REQUIREMENTS



? Must have at least two years of mechanical experience or applicable trade school certificate.

? Must have experience with automated packaging equipment (fillers, cappers, cartoners, casepackers, bottle unscramblers, and/or other container and material handling systems.

? Must have knowledge of automation components (PLC?s, servo motors, photoeyes, limit switches, micro switches, safety interlocks, vision systems, etc.).

? Must have a strong understanding of industrial safety.

? Must be able to interpret part drawings.

? Must pass Avon selection process (testing and interview).

? Must be comfortable with Windows Operating System.

? Must have good interpersonal and communication skills.

? Must be a strong problem-solver with continuous improvement in mind.

? Must be able to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced atmosphere.

? Must be able to work in an environment with different MSDS and PPE requirements.

? Must be open to periodic overtime and alternate shift coverage assignments.

? Knowledge of AutoCad a plus.

? Experience in an FDA regulated environment a plus.
