Job Title:  Millwright/Journeyman/Apprentice

Key Responsibilities:
Installs machinery and equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, and other drawings in industrial establishment, using hoists, lift trucks, handtools, and power tools: Dismantles and moves machinery and equipment, using similar tools.  Assembles and installs equipment, such as shafting, conveyors, and tram rails, using handtools and power tools. Constructs foundation for machines, using handtools and building materials, such as wood, cement, and steel. Aligns machines and equipment, using hoists, jacks, handtools, squares, rules, micrometers, and other precision instruments. Assembles rigging to lift and move equipment and various machinery using cables, ropes, pulleys, winches, sheaves, shackles, chains, and other grappling devices such as slings and wire cables.  Must operate various capacity forklifts and possess a commercial drivers license (CDL).  May perform installation and maintenance work as part of team of skilled trades workers.  May drive commercially licensed vehicles for hauling machinery and equipment to and from work locations. Extensive travel may be involved.

Education:
Typically an Associate?s degree or 1-2 years of vocational technical training preferred. HS diploma or equivalent required. Specialized skill training/certification may be required.  CDL certification required.Knowledge and Experience:
Demonstrates comprehensive working knowledge of a technical or specialty area, and of operations, methods, and practices. Generally, 2-5 years of successful experience in area of responsibility and successful demonstration of Key Responsibilities and Knowledge as presented above.
