Job Description
Major Responsibilities:
This is a twelve to fifteen month 28 stockpile reclamation project. Work to be performed by individuals with skills to operate multiple pieces of heavy duty mining equipment and perform minor maintenance as necessary for the 28 reclamation project. This position requires a Team-oriented person who will demonstrate a strong safety attitude and maintain safe work habits at all times. Essential job functions include but are not limited to:
- Assist in troubleshooting and repair of high voltage control and instrumentation circuits.
-Install new construction wiring circuits per NEC standards.
-Remodel electrical and instrumentation circuits in existing equipment.
- Bend and install conduit.
-Assist in troubleshooting programmable logic and variable frequency drive controls.
-Position requires driving over state highways.
-Willing and able to work weekends, holidays, rotating shifts and both scheduled and unscheduled overtime at a 24 hour/day, 7 day/week, 365 day/year operation.
-Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
-Minimum of Two to Four years experience in electrical/instrumentation repair and maintenance. That includes:
*Experience working with voltages from 5 volts to 7.2KV
* Experience with medium voltage equipment.
* Experience with AC and/or DC control systems
* Experience with electrical test equipment
- Experience in troubleshooting, maintenance and repair of electrical circuits and connected equipment. That includes:
* The ability to read, understand and apply information from technical manuals, prints, and schematics for trouble shooting and repair.
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid State Drivers License
- Effective written, verbal, and communication skills to satisfy training, safety, and electronic message transmission policies of the company.
- Satisfactory performance record (internal applicant)
- Must have minimum personal tools as described by department tool list. (Or must obtain within 90 days of hire date.)
- Must successfully pass the pre-employment color perception exam.
- Must successfully pass the pre-employment electrical/instrumentation exam
- Experience with VFD's
- Instrumentation Skills
- HVAC experience
- Experience working with DC voltages.
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid State Drivers License

Criteria/Conditions

- Work is performed in a mine or manufacturing plant which may include exposure to extremes in temperature and humidity, moving mechanical parts, risk of electrical shock, toxic chemicals, explosives, fumes or airborne particles.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, sit, demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs and ladders, work on elevated platforms, talk, hear and see.
- Occasionally may be required to lift moderately heavy to heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) during the course of the workday.
- Personal protective equipment is required on a regular basis, including hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety foot wear, and as needed, respirator, rubber steel-toe boots, protective clothing, gloves and other protective equipment as required.
