Night Maintenance Manager

JOB SUMMARY:

The Maintenance Manager is responsible for electrical and mechanical servicing and efficient maintenance of all production/brewing equipment.  They oversee the bottle shop and maintenance employees, manage, direct, and implement operations strategies and objectives to ensure the achievement of company goals.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES OF JOB:

Accountable for:

?  Ensuring proper maintenance of facility machinery and building.

?  Developing, scheduling, and controlling a preventive maintenance program to maintain production/brewing equipment in proper working condition.

?  Supervising, training and scheduling of all personnel in the bottle shop and maintenance.

?  Developing procedures for all processes.

?  Improving processes.

?  Recommends and initiates personnel actions, such as employment, performance evaluations, promotions, and disciplinary measures.

?  Set-up and adjust machines and equipment.

?  Examines and monitors operations, systems and facilities.

?  Ensuring high standards of safety are developed, met, and maintained.

?  Learning and applying new packaging procedures.

?  Public Relations, spokesman for Brewery & Company.

?  Directs, coordinates and assists in performance of worker?s activities, such as repair and maintenance of vehicles and installing machinery and equipment.

?  Estimating and budgeting.

Assures that:

?  A quality product is being produced at all times.

?  GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) are followed at all times.

?  Production schedules are met

?  Costs are met.

?  A safe work area is maintained at all times and that all safety rules are followed.

?  All other duties are completed as assigned.

 

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Must understand high speed equipment

Must understand brewing and packaging processes

Mechanical technical training and experience

Knowledge in the areas of:  maintenance, plumbing, electrical, heating and refrigeration

High degree of mechanical aptitude

Problem solving techniques

Must be a self-starter and able to work independently.

 

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Hot, cold, wet, and dusty. 

 

SAFETY HAZARDS:

Noise, eye protection, cleaning chemicals (caustic, acid), ammonia, CO2, confined space, and high pressure steam, lifting up 50 lbs.
