PRECISION INSPECTOR

We currently have an opening for a Precision Inspector in our Harbor Drive Facility in downtown San Diego.

This position will have the following responsibilities: High school graduate plus 4 years experience is desirable. Must be able to read blueprints and schematics and have strong Trigonometry skills.

 Calibrate, build, repair and adjust precision measuring instruments such as gages, jigs, & fixtures. Data entry using various processes, computer systems & software.

 Perform inspection of production parts & assemblies for conformance to standards, planning, design & intent.

 Perform inspection of purchased & subcontracted parts upon receipt, including the maintenance of quality records.

 Support external & internal first article process by performing inspections utilizing and/or programming a variety of precision instruments including, but exclusive to CMM, bench equipment/gaging & other technologies.

 Perform the duties required to control & maintain discrepant material within the MRB area (requires on-site Baan training & certification).

 Assist the Quality department in the corrective Action process by performing investigations, Root Cause Analysis and required Quality Record documentation.

 Be available for any shift.
