Packaging / Compounding Mechanic

 

 

 

Job Description:  Provide troubleshooting and repair of plant packaging equipment, plant compounding equipment, other ancillary equipment and facilities. Able to plan and organize work.  Able to work efficiently and safely with minimal supervision.  Communicates effectively (both written and verbally) with management.

 

Skills Required:

 

1.  Experience with packaging equipment: (as listed or similar)

a.) MRM / Elgin volumetric fillers

b.) Corniani fillers

   c.) Pneumatic Scale fillers

d.) Resina cappers

e.) Videojet coders

f.) Elliot case sealers

g.) PDQ labelers

h.) drop packers

 

2. Strong pump repair skills

  a.) air pumps

  b.) centrifugal pumps

  c.) gear pumps

  d.) lobe pumps

 

3.  Basic electrical skills

a.) 120/240 v 3 phase

 

4.  Basic welding skills

a.) stick

 

5.  Basic Pipefitting skills

a.) cut

b.) thread

 

6.  Trouble shooting ability

 

7.   PLC knowledge helpful

 

8. Computer literate helpful

  Microsoft Word

  Microsoft Excel

 

9. Bi-lingual ? English/Spanish preferred

 

10.  Able to any shift, overtime, and weekends as required.
