Plant Mechanic 2nd Class

Responsibilities : Under the direction of Facilities Services management, the purpose of this position is to provide intermmediate operator skills in the proper operation and repair of all plant related equipment. Performs and provide instruction in basic preventive maintenance on all plant equipment. Monitors the proper performance of all equipment through routine equipment inspection utilizing the appropriate equipment instrumentation.

Qualifications :

This position requires completion of training as a certified boiler plant operator or 2years prior experience. Must be capable of functioning independently in completing all duties of a Plant Mechanic. Requires experience in repairing and maintaining plant equipment. Must be able to read and write English and perform basic mathematical computation. Must possess physical agility and be able to climb, reach, bend and lift up to 75 pounds. Must be able to withstand noisy conditions with above normal temperatures.
