Plasma Etch Equipment Technician

Description:

In this position, your responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following in support of the wafer fabrication Plasma Etch Group at Dallas Semiconductor/Maxim: Maintain optimum performance of equipment through scheduled preventive maintenance and calibration of equipment. Troubleshoot and repair down equipment. Work with Engineers to improve tool performance through upgrades and/or modifications to enhance tool reliability. Independently perform troubleshooting, repairs and preventive maintenance on equipment with a high degree of quality and reliability so that the equipment is capable of operating within the required specifications. Able to develop and follow systematic troubleshooting procedures to address down tool issues. Working with Process engineering and other cross functional groups to resolve maintenance issues, improve equipment reliability and minimize equipment downtime. Be proactive in producing clean crisp written and oral passdowns between team members and between shifts. A high degree of judgment and initiative is required in resolving complex non-standard problems and making recommendations for resolution. Requirements:

Semiconductor Manufacturing Technology Degree, Associates in Applied Science with emphasis on Electronics plus 3 years Plasma Etch experience or non-degree with 5 years equivalent Plasma Etch experience.

Additional qualifications includeExperience with Lam Alliance, Lam Rainbow or Applied Materials Centura Etch systems. Experience with Mattson, Gasonics or Axcelis Ash systems. Basic knowledge of RF, electrical, electromechanical, pneumatic and/or vacuum systems and principals of operation. Knowledge of basic computer programs such as Microsoft* Word*, Excel*, PowerPoint* Excellent physical requirements, which include manual dexterity, good hand-eye coordination, able to lift, bend, and reach Ability to analyze equipment, troubleshooting problems, and make appropriate repairs Ability to communicate and work effectively with team members Ability to work well in a diverse team environment Ability to read schematics and mechanical drawings Ability to work and take directions from written and verbal instructions Ability to lift a minimum of 30 lbs
