Retrofit Outage Coordinator

ALSTOM Power, Inc., a global leader and provider of power generation engineering, products, and services, is seeking a Retrofit Outage Coordinator for its Turbo machines Group.  The individual will be responsible for providing specialist support to the TSR organization on installation on a project specific basis based at our Midlothian, VA location.

 Responsibilities

 

General Business Aspects:
Provide specialist support to the TSR organization on installation aspects on project specific basis.
Participate in specific strategy initiatives as defined from time to time (installation related)
Take part in and lead site measurement activities
Provide site specialist support during commissioning and support in incident reviews
Participate in ?Design for Installation? reviews, both generic and project specific
Participate in regional and global lessons learned initiatives, to drive continuous improvement methodology in TSR with regard to installation best practice
Evaluate installation sub-supplier offers from technical and cost estimation perspective
Lead the management of sourcing, developing of sub-suppliers for all aspects of the installation process. This includes defined contract structure, progress review and coordination of activities

 

Project Specific Aspects:
Reporting to the Project Director or Manager responsible for all installation and commissioning aspects of the project
Define and implement installation strategy of the project, to compliment and achieve the overall project targets set by the PD/PM
Lead the design for installation initiatives on the project. Works closely with Technical Coordinators to understand technical scope issues, technical interface arrangements and outage engineering support requirements
Lead the planning, preparation and mobilization/demobilization activities
Lead the detailed installation schedule development, including risk identification, assessment, mitigation and follow-up process
TSR Site Manager during installation phase
Leading installation lessons learned process for the project

 

Qualifications:

Associates degree in an engineering or related field plus 10 ? 15 years experience, or

Bachelor?s degree in an engineering or related field plus 8 ? 12 years of experience.
