SERVICES Field Installation Technician - MobileView

CITY: Alabama STATE: Alabama COUNTRY: USA Essential Functions (Responsibilities):
JOB PURPOSE:
Ensure the successful installation of GE MobileView hardware and software components at customer locations, as well as OEM bus manufacturing locations.

Essential Functions Include:
* Responsible for designing first article installations, testing of the system, and training users.
* Travel to customer locations to install and/or supervise the installation of MobileView product to meet GE specifications and budgets for new installations, retrofits, demonstrations, pilot programs, and test systems. * Responsible for installation of new products, warranty replacements, repair of installed equipment and maintaining installation quality in the field.
* Conduct necessary site surveys and design first article installations, prepare survey and first article reports; work in conjunction with third party service providers in order to ensure that all installation work required is completed as necessary.
* Ensure that system users are trained, and that all system tests are successfully concluded.
* Maintain call and service databases documenting field issues, reporting them in order to identify trends.
* Maintain awareness and knowledge of the operation and function of all products, services and systems.

Qualifications/Requirements:
* Must possess Bachelors degree or high school diploma/GED with at least 3 years of technical installation experience.
* Knowledge and experience installing DVR and camera equipment at customer locations, prefer low voltage bus and automotive experience.
* Experience working with vendors and cross functional teams.
* Ability to clearly communicate in both written and verbal formats.
* Capable of working in a demanding environment with aggressive timeframes, and organizing conflicting time, energy and customer demands.

* You must be willing to accept an annual salary that is not more than $80,000
* You must be able to travel up to 75% of the time.
* You must be willing to work out of a home office in Alabama.
