You will receive paid training to help round out your skills. $30K + first year + Bonuses.
PLEASE NOTE: If you do not possess hands-on DirecTV skills, we also look for individuals with these skill sets:
Cabling, Audio/Visual Home Theatre, Electricians, Home Construction, Carpentry, Apprentices, HVAC.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Technician Plans installations by evaluating location; locating line of sight; laying-out equipment and wiring plan. Establishes satellite system by installing dish; running and pulling cable; programming and calibrating equipment; adhering to codes, regulations, and standards. Verifies system by testing equipment and connections; identifying and correcting problems. Activate the customer's service. Maintains records by documenting installation, service, and repairs. Repairs service by listening to customer's description of problems; diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing problems by replacing and/or upgrading components. Communicate with the customer and ensure that the customer thoroughly understands how to work the system. Maintains safe work environment by following safe working practices. Responsible for all inventory of materials and supplies. Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications.Requirements :
High School Diploma or G.E.D. Telecommunication knowledge, construction or experience in a related field preferred Computer knowledge is a plus Valid driver?s license Must pass a drug screen and background check Be able to lift up to 50lbs Must be able to work weekends and extended hours Must have own hand tools
