Dorsey trailer repair is a well established company that has been in business for 16 years. We are the largest facility in the Savannah, Ga. area dedicated to the maintenance and repair of Semi-Trailers. and specialized equipment trailer?s.  We operate a fully enclosed

7 bay shop with an in-house parts department, as well as, a fleet of 3 service trucks. Our commitment to providing our customers with the highest level of service has allowed us to experience consistent success and growth opportunities in our industry.

 

We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual to fill the position of TRAILER MECHANIC.

 

As a member of our team, qualified candidates will perform preventive maintenance as well as diagnose and make necessary repairs to all types of over the road trailers and related equipment.

 

Duties will include;P.M. service and FHWA inspections.Troubleshoot and repair electrical/lighting systems.Troubleshoot and repair brake air brake systems and all components.Repair or replace suspension components, axles, slider assemblies and sub-frames.Repair or replace any body components such as doors, rails, flooring, panels and roofs.Repair or replace landing gear assemblies.Welding, cutting and fabrication.

 

Requirements include;2 yrs related mechanical experience ? we will provide further training to qualified individuals.Valid drivers license.Must be able to pass drug screen and DOT physical.Must be able to furnish hand tools as needed and tool box.
