Major Responsibilities:
Technical:
*Will be working on a team that will provide on call technical phone support and field response to equipment issues.
*To install and document the installation of CDS brand products and related equipment.
*To perform preventative scheduled maintenance to ensure optimum operation and a minimum of down time.
*To perform emergency service at the locations as needed to ensure the full functionality of CDS brand products and their related equipment.
*To provide detailed technical documentation relating to all functions performed.
*To conduct technical training for the end user relating to the operation of CDS brand products and related equipment.

Communication:
*Provide detailed technical reports to the CDS Service Manager.
*Maintain up to date technical equipment / resources as defined by the CDS Service Manager.
*Excellent customer relation skills.

Additional Functions:
*Troubleshoot and resolve Network issues i.e. connectivity, applications, Internet, Web, WAN, e-mail and infrastructure related to CDS brand and related equipment.
*Assist in the day-to-day operations of CDS brand and related equipment as necessary.
*All other assigned tasks.

Minimum Qualifications:
*Ability to provide on call support when necessary.
*Ability to pass a basic electronic / video written examination.
*BS/BA in a technical field (Electrical or Software) (or *equivalent technical experience).
*Experience with LCD, D-ILA, and / or DLP technology.
*Experienced with test generators and other related electrical and video test and calibration equipment.
*Strong communication and facilitation skills.
*Excellent work ethic. (Self starter)
*Ability to lift 80 lbs. without assistance.
*Ability to distinguish different colors.
*Excellent technical problem solving, troubleshooting, follow up skills.
*Experience with multimedia equipment installation and service.
*PC Application / Software installation and configuration experience.
*A strong working knowledge of Windows 9x, 2000, XP, PowerPoint, PC Anywhere, etc.
*A strong working knowledge of PC hardware, setup and repair.
*Excellent organization skills and a results oriented approach.
*Ability to travel 20% of the time.
*Ability to work on multiple, complex tasks with little or no direct supervision.

Position Summary: Reporting to the CDS Service Supervisor, this position will be responsible for installation, repair, maintenance and support (training) of CDS products as well as related equipment. This position will provide technical telephone and field support and process trouble tickets. In addition, this individual will be responsible for technical support of specialized internal applications, inventory management, software distribution / upgrade, customer training and supporting administrative tasks.

Responsibilities also include: Install, repair, and maintain complex electronic equipment, including but not limited to video servers, projectors, audio equipment, video switchers, and supporting equipment at the theatre locations.
