Service/Repair Technician

Job Purpose:

Responsible for service work performed at company location and at customer's facilities.  These services will include but not limited to Fluid Power component trouble shooting, diagnosing, system upgrades, installations and final commissioning plus fabrication of power units.

 

Duties:

* Perform pump and valve conversions.

* Perform cylinder, motor, pump and valve repairs to manufacturer's specifications.

* Component disassembly and inspection.

* Ability to identify parts and read parts catalogs.

* Estimate repair costs for customers.

* Re-assemble components as required.

* Test repaired components in accordance with published specifications.

* Maintain complete and accurate repair records.

* Perform component repair services on lubrication equipment.

* Perform field service and installation work.

* Fabrication of power units.

 

Skills/Qualifications:

Read and understand Fluid Power schematics, blueprints and machine drawings, Possess abilities to weld, machine and paint in shop/mechanical environment, Possess strong analytical skills, Customer-service oriented, Be organized and have good time-management skills, Proficient with computer and MS Office applications.  Knowledge or schooling in hydraulics or power transmission components a plus!
