Service Technician

 

HSM Electronic Protection Service (formerly Honeywell Security Monitoring), has been providing security solutions to both commercial and residential customers for over 35 years. HSM is looking for an experienced, self-motivated service technician to come grow with our organization. This position would support a service territory in the Memphis TN Metro Area.  Recognized as the Number 2 national provider of security solutions, HSM sells, installs and services a vast array of security related equipment to national and local commercial accounts. Our product and services offering includes Fire, Burglar, CCTV, and Access Control systems, monitoring and integration.

 

As a technician, you would be tasked with performing maintenance, test/inspect, installation and minor or routine emergency service on burglar, fire, card access and CCTV systems including software where applicable. The successful candidate will have excellent customer relation and trouble shooting skills, be self-motivated and be computer/network knowledgeable.

 

 

Qualifications and Requirements:

 Excellent customer relation skillsStrong troubleshooting and mechanical aptitudeDetail oriented, results driven individualCandidate must be computer literate. Computer networking knowledge a plusTechnical School Certificate in electronics, security or computer systems or equivalent experience requiredNational Institute for Certification in Engineering Technology (NICET) Level I certification is desirable.Rotational emergency on-call availability a mustValid drivers license with clean driving record requiredPreference will be given to individuals with knowledge/experience with Ademco, Pelco, Bosch/Radionics, GE Security products, Alarmnet/Safetynet long range radio, and/or Northern, Nexwatch, PCSC Card Access systemsPreferably 2 years experience in Electronic Security Install or Service
