Sprinkler Fitter Apprentice

Our continued success and growth has produced a need for a talented Journeyman Sprinkler Fitter in our East Berlin, CT location.

Responsibilities:

?
Installation of water based Fire Sprinkler Systems, layout and fabrication of piping.
Follow verbal and written instructions, read and understand construction blueprints, diagrams, and specifications used installation activities a plus.
Carry/move equipment, perform work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions, climbing ladders, scaffolding and high lift equipment up to 40 feet or more.
Maintain a clean and safe work area.? Pick up and properly dispose of all?remnants associated with SimplexGrinnell work.? Utilize appropriate safety equipment as required including hard hats and shoes.
Properly secure all SimplexGrinnell tools and equipment at the end of each work period so as to prevent damage or loss.
Complete and submit time reports and other documents as required.
May be be required to work alternate shifts or weekends to meet customer installation requirements.
Perform other duties as directed.

Basic Qualifications:

?
Must have a High School Diploma, GED or be currently enrolled in an industry recognized apprenticeship program.
Valid driver's license with good driving record, conscientious person?18 years of age or older.
Must be physically fit to perform the work of the trade.
Satisfactory completion of background check and drug test.
