We are looking for an experienced technician to work in the Chicago, IL area. In this position you will be a part of a team representing Sypris Test & Measurement by providing customer service and technical expertise to meet our customer's requirements. Position Summary:
Performs routine and complex work related to the repair and calibration of electronic, electro-mechanical and mechanical test and measurement equipment. Provides field maintenance on equipment, when required. Uses calibration procedures and measurement systems for use on customer equipment in compliance with requirements. Assures compliance to Division quality system.

 

Qualified candidates will meet the following requirements:

- U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident Status
- Completed Military PMEL course
- A minimum of 5 years calibration experience
- RF/Microwave experience required
- Must have prior experience in a commercial calibration lab

- Vast automated calibration experience

- Experience in Met/Cal programming

- Agilent Software knowledge/Surecal knowledge

- Experience leading on-site personnel
- Basic Electronics and Computer Skills
- Capable of heavy lifting (50 to 80 pounds)
- Valid D.L. required
- Clean Driving Record - no moving violations within the past 3 years
