Store Maintenance Refrigeration Coordinator

Responsible for managing the day-to-day refrigeration repair and preventative maintenance activities in the Division.  Responsible for both in-house mechanics as well as the selection, use, progress and quality of outside refrigeration vendors used in food markets.Inspects new store work in process and reportsChecks on computerized control systems to monitor operation of refrigeration equipment (via laptop)Pre-qualifies and selects contractors for work in respective division for all refrigeration and HVAC workReviews performance and maintenance records on refrigeration and HVAC equipment and preventative maintenance operationsProvides guidance for Refrigeration Mechanics as well as assists with other trades (plumbers, equipment repair, refrigeration, etc.) within the department, with refrigeration or HVAC problems they may encounterOversees the installation, repair and maintenance of all types of refrigeration equipment and systemsDevelops and enforces safety practicesAvailable nights and weekends on schedule or on an "on call" basisManages repair and replacement programs for malfunctioning or obsolete equipmentDetermines best practices for repair work and assesses downtime with maintenance staff as well as store personnelOversees and sets preventive maintenance programs for all refrigeration and HVAC equipmentReviews records of all equipment worked onWorks with, schedules and monitors contractors work in storesRepairs refrigeration and HVAC equipment for both emergency and non-emergency situationsDetermines best practices for repair work and preventative maintenance workUnderstands and follows all required safety procedures in order to complete tasksOversee mechanics daily workloadsAssist mechanics with use of computerized controlsReview contractor invoices and pricing

Required Experience / Skills:Previous supervisory experiencePosition requires 8 years of refrigeration experience and ideally an associates degree, including supervisory or managerial experienceAbility to read and thoroughly understand refrigeration and HVAC drawings and specifications, including control systemsAbility to plan all details related to the installation of refrigeration and HVAC equipmentAbility to formulate a logical approach to troubleshooting refrigeration and HVAC problemsKnowledge of company storesStrong knowledge of refrigeration, electricity, hydrodynamics (glycol) and hydraulicsSound mechanical ability, as well as knowledge of welding and plumbingKnowledge of layout and design techniquesAbility to work with sheet metalExcellent interpersonal skillsKnowledge of appropriate safety proceduresGood knowledge of Microsoft Office productsMust submit to a Driver's Abstract & Criminal Background Check and anyone driving a non-CDL type company vehicle (i.e. .box van or stake body) may subject to evidence of satisfactory completion of a recognized driver training program.
