Supervisor-Electrical Maintenance

Job Description

Major Responsibilities:

- Maintain assigned areas, tools, and work in safe condition.
- Assign, supervise and review electrical work of assigned electrical techs
- Work with Senior Electrical Supervisor, Electrical Planner and Electrical Engineer to develop weekly, short and long range plans and schedules.
- Conduct performance evaluations
- Train and/or obtain training on safe work procedures
- Actively participate in preparation of estimates for staffing, material and equipment requirements to dept goals

Minimum Requirements:

- Commitment to safe work practices in word and action
- Education and/or experience equivalent to a HS diploma or GED.
- Knowledge of supervisory methods and techniques
- Five years of related operational experience in a full-time (or relief) supervisory capacity.

Preferred Qualifications:

BS degree in electrical engineering or closely related field Previous or current supervisory and planning experience in an electrical management setting. Experience in leading and coaching multi-skilled work groups. Previous experience safely and effectively leading projects with limited manpower. Completion of METALS and SOAR Observer training. Experience with variable frequency motor drives. Medium to advanced level of experience NFPA 70 and 70E.
