Supervisor - Moly Maintenance

Job Description

Major Responsibilities
Under general guidance of the Sr. Supervisor, supervises maintenance personnel in all functions of the Moly MaintenanceDepartment which includes leaching, roasting, packaging, rhenium processing, and concentrate handling areas. Ensures the highest standards of safety, maintenance, and environmental compliance in accordance with federal, state and local laws/regs. The work schedule may require working 12-hour rotating shifts. Ensures continued operations of maintenance shifts through execution of the production plan and schedules.

Minimum Requirements
-Education and/or experience equivalent to a high school diploma or GED, supplemented by leadership training or education up to or including an Bachelors degree in a closely related area.
-5 years experience in operations and/or maintenance in mineral or chemical processing, or lesser amount of expericence with a degree in chemical, mechanical, or metallurgical engineering.
-Sound knowledge of maintenance procedures and equipment repair
-Strong math, computer and organizational skills are essential
-Must have a proven safety record
-Ability to promote the highest safety standards
-Ability to effectively communicate (both orally and in writing) and interacting with employees
-Must be able to work effectively in a team environment
-Duties may include working outside of normal work hours
-Perform other duties as assigned
-Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of the job

Preferred Qualifications
-Familiarity with ISO 9000 requirements

Criteria/Conditions
Work is in a plant setting which will include exposure to extremes in temperature and humidity, moving mechanical parts, chemicals, fumes or airborne particles. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs and ladders, work on elevated platforms, talk, hear, and see. Occasionally may be required to life moderately heavy objects (up to 30 lbs) during the course of the work day. Personal protective equipment is required when performing work in production area, including hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and as needed, respirator, rubber steel-toe boots, protective clothing and any other protective equipment as required.
