Reports To: Cleaning Supervisor
FLSA Status: Non -Exempt
SUMMARY
Responsible for coach cleaning assignments of all passenger cars in accordance with Amtrak Standards for inspection and running repairs
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Job Duties:
? Responsible for coach cleaning assignments of all passenger cars in accordance
with Amtrak Standards for inspection and running repairs.
? Maintains qualification to perform cleaning assignments.
? Uses chemical cleaners, equipment and material in accordance with EPA, OSHA
and HAZCOM guidelines and procedures.
? Performs car watering, services toilets, shampoos, vacuums, cleans steps, vestibules,
windows, and other cleaning as assigned in accordance with Amtrak/FDA standards .
? Works within the guidelines of the System Safety Program by being alert to
physical hazards which affect operations, including the modification of, recognition of,
or cessation of operations when conditions exist or could develop that would conflict
with a safe operating environment for Amtrak or others.
Tasks Performed:
? Involves but not limited to cleaning operations.
? Washes car interiors with Amtrak approved cleaning compounds.
? Completes general cleaning of cars.
? Repair and maintenance cleaning
? Trash removal/trash door cleaned
? Rubber flooring/shampoo cars
? Inspection for infestation
? Windows
? Toilet rooms/blow waste out of toilets
? Heater guards
? Disinfect bathrooms
? Seat frames/ghost busting
? Sweep/mop floor tile
? Ceiling/luggage racks
? Supply car/clean dumb waiters/drawers
? Vestibules/curtains
? Body & door
? Sterilize tables/counters
? Disinfect window moldings/ledges/seat & arm rests/walls/trash containers.
? Adheres to safe procedures and preventative measures as outlined for cleaning cars,
opening and closing trap doors, cleaning heater boxes, vestibules, and using a mop
as described in the Job Safety Analysis (JSA) guidelines.
? Performs other duties as assigned.
