Technical Maintenance Specialist III

Performs mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electronics, plumbing, data acquisition equipment, telecommunications & instrumentation maintenance of equipment at the water plant, water pump stations, wells, storage tanks, wastewater plants, wastewater pump stations and disposal sites for a rapidly growing water & wastewater system in Beaufort, South Carolina.  Maintains electrical systems of the water and wastewater facilities with an understanding of digital control circuits, analog input/output systems, process computer language protocol, automation control systems, AD/DC circuits, PLC programming, HVAC systems. Requires an Associate Degree with 2 yrs of vocational/technical school training in advanced electrical, mechanical, electronic & instrumentation studies with a minimum of 7 years experience dealing with the same or an equivalent combination of education and experience.  Must obtain Journeyman?s electrical license within 2 years of hire, pass exam for a Class B Water Distribution and Wastewater Collection System license within 3 years of hire. Must possess valid drivers license and obtain Commercial Drivers License within 1 year of hire. Must possess good communication skills and computer experience.
