Technical Rep

SimplexGrinnell is a global leader in the design, manufacture, installation, and service of a comprehensive array of networked and integrated fire alarm and suppression, security, and communications systems.  Our continued success and growth has produced a need for a Technical Rep position in our Atlanta, GA location.

 

Responsibilities:

Duties include, but are not limited to:

The commissioning and testing of various life-safety, nurse call and communications systems.

Ability to work on construction sites and coordinate installation activities with various tradesmen.

Exhibiting effective customer service skills; reading and understanding complicated diagrams, schematics, and software/systems programs; repairing low voltage wiring and associated devices for the operation of low voltage equipment; availability to work alternative shifts or weekends to meet customer requirements; availability to work an ?On Call? shift; operating company vehicle; perform other duties as directed and deemed necessary.

 

 

Qualifications:

?  Minimum 3 years experience servicing and programming Simplex or industry-related equipment.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

?  Experience and proficiency in the use and application of personal computers including DOS and Windows programs and basic PC networking skills.

?  A working knowledge of test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multi-meters, digital analyzers, battery analyzers, frequency meters, decibel meters, and communicating devices.

- The ability to lift 50 lbs and climb latters.

- High School diploma or equivalent
