Job Details:
- Recent experience in the specialty area is required.
Position Summary: Responsible for specific assignments/projects, and medical equipment preventive maintenance and repair for all applicable departments at UMass Memorial Healthcare. Responsible for maintenance of highly complex medical devices such as ventilators, dialysis machines, EEG/EMG, highly specialized computerized diagnostic/therapeutic systems, etc.
Position Qualifications: Associates degree in Electronics. Experience preferable in computer hardware/software. 5+ years experience with highly complex medical devices such as ventilators, dialysis machines, EEG/EMG, highly specialized computerized diagnostic/therapeutic systems, etc. in a healthcare environment.
Department-specific competencies, including age-specific competencies, and their measurements will be developed and maintained in the individual departments.
Associates degree in Electronics, Biomedical Engineering, or military equivalent. CBET preferred. 5 yrs or more in healthcare environment performing preventive maintenance and repair on specialty medical equipment (ie: critical, lifesupport medical devices. Excellent communication and customer service skills required.
