Two-Radio Vehicular Installation Technician

Locally owned communications company in need of a dedicated and hard working employee. Self motivated and customer service oriented!!

 

 

Summary Installs, terminates, and tests two-way radio communication systems in various public safety vehicles such as police, fire, etc.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

 

Must have a valid driver's license. Travel to customer sites will be required in a company vehicle.

 

Installs two-way radio telephones in vehicles.

Installation of light bar, computer stand, and external equipment on public service vehicles.

Light troubleshooting of radio wiring in vehicle.

Relocates vehicular cable connections for existing users.

Tests and evaluates equipment installed to ensure proper functionality.

Assists in installation of communications hardware.

Strong Computer Skills a major PLUS!

Will train a willing and hard working applicant.

Ability and eagerness to learn new tasks and continue to evaluate productivity is also a wanted skill.

Some reading of technical manuals and brochures to determine equipment which meets establishment requirements may be needed.
